Try an Apple Smoothie for Breakfast!

Apple Smoothie Recipe

1 cup orange juice

1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 apple, chopped *see note below

4 dates, soaked overnight in water

1/2 banana, frozen

1/2 cup ice cubes (more or less to taste)

Directions

Place orange juice in your blender and add apple sauce. Pulse until combined. Drain soaked dates. Add chopped apple, drained dates, banana, and ice cubes. Process on high for two minutes, until smooth and creamy. Place in a serving glass and garnish if desired.

Note: If you have a high speed blender like the Vitamix, Blendtech or ninja blenders and have purchased organic apples, you can leave the skin on. Otherwise it is best to peel your apple prior to adding it to your smoothie.
